Court Upholds TTD for Worker With Prior History of Shoulder Complaints

The Arkansas Court of Appeals upheld an award of temporary total disability benefits to a worker for a shoulder injury from grabbing at a falling test tube. Case: Kiswire Pine Bluff Inc. v. Segars, No. CV-17-1025, 05/09/2018, published. Facts: Marion Segars worked for Kiswire Pine Bluff for 25 years. While he was at work in November 2015, Segars lost his grip on a test tube. He claimed he felt a pop in his arm as he snatched at the tube to try to keep it from falling to the ground. Segars reported the incident to his employer and received an X-ray that day.
