A New York insurance broker charged in an extensive payroll fraud scheme this month has admitted to providing fake insurance certificates and falsifying a labor broker's number of workers, according to court filings that shed new light on the case.
The labor broker himself, who was reportedly well known as a provider of cheap labor in the bustling New York construction business, appears to admit some instances of fraud but played dumb on others, according to voluntary disclosure forms filed by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
