ProAssurance Notes Increase in Inexperienced-Worker Claims in 3Q Results

ProAssurance Corp. has reported net income for the third quarter of $31.2 million, an 8% increase from $28.9 million in the same quarter last year. For the first nine months of the year, net income was $71.5 million, falling from $89.9 million in the prior-year period. Operating results for the company’s workers' compensation insurance segment were $1.6 million for the third quarter, up from $1.1 million in 2017.
