The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division published updated cost-to-charge ratios used to calculate reimbursement owed to hospitals for treating injured workers.
Hospital reimbursement is calculated by multiplying the total bill by the ratio assigned to the facility where services were provided.
For most in-state hospitals, the ratios range from 0.225 to 1. Some rural hospitals are excluded from the cost-to-charge ratio based on a determination of economic necessity.
The ratio for hospitals outside of Oregon is always 1.
