Florida regulators have revised an estimate on what proposed reimbursement dispute rules will cost businesses, which means the Legislature will not have to ratify the changes before they take effect.
The announcement is the latest in the years-long saga regarding the 69L-31 set of rules, designed to govern petitions for utilization and reimbursement dispute resolutions. The state Division of Workers' Compensation held a number of meetings about the proposed changes in recent years, including sessions on Oct. 7 and Dec. 1.
