A truck driver observed working on cars while receiving workers’ compensation benefits pleaded guilty to one felony count of fraud, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Jaime Serna, 47, drove a truck for Agromin in Santa Paula and injured his right shoulder in May 2010. In February 2012, Agromin reportedly received a tip that Serna was working on cars and engaging in activities that contradicted his claimed limitations.
