OSHA Fines Grocery Store for Not Preventing Fatal Fall

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined a Florida grocery store $95,315 for violations it says were discovered during an investigation of a preventable fatal fall. A 65-year-old clerk at Kissimmee Meat & Produce Inc. fell about 9 feet when a ladder rolled while retrieving merchandise from the second tier of a storage rack in a warehouse in May 2023.
