Employers paying into the Workers’ Compensation Administration Fund will see their assessments drop by 20% beginning Saturday.
House Bill 515, Act 76, includes a provision that drops the employer assessment from 1.75% to 1.4% of their direct calendar year premium for workers’ compensation insurance.
The fund is used to administer the state’s workers’ compensation and occupational disease programs.
Gov. Phil Scott signed HB 515 on June 13. It deals primarily with judiciary fees, and food and lodging establishments.
