Former Oakland Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler joined the more than 2,400 former players suing the National Football League for failing to protect them from the long-term effects of repeated hits to the head, the Associated Press reported.Stabler, who led the Raiders to a 32-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI in 1977, is the first plaintiff among 73 listed in a federal lawsuit filed July 23 in Philadelphia.
