Court Revives Widow's Claim for Death Benefits

A New York appellate court overturned the denial of a widow’s claim for death benefits. Case: Matter of Hanson v. General Electric Co., No. CV-23-1425, 03/13/2025, published. Facts: Harold Hanson worked for General Electric Co. as a field service technician. He collapsed on Jan. 25, 2016, while at a residence repairing a refrigerator. Hanson was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
