Liberty Mutual Names North America Chief Claims Officer for Global Risk Solutions

Liberty Mutual Insurance appointed Steve Deane as the North America chief claims officer for Global Risk Solutions, the carrier’s global commercial and specialty lines reinsurer.

Deane will lead a team of 3,000 claims professionals and be responsible for all aspects of executive claims management and service delivery for GRS customers.

He will report to GRS North America President Tracy Ryan.

Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Deane led The Hartford's Group Benefits & Workers’ Compensation Claims organization.

Before that, he was an attorney on the insurance litigation team at Robinson & Cole LLP.
