Towns in Chautauqua County, N.Y., are bracing for significant increases in workers' compensation premiums, based on claims filed with the county's self-insurance pool, the Observer newspaper in Dunkirk, N.Y., reported Wednesday.At a town council meeting in Hanover, N.Y., Supervisor Kathy Tampio said she had received a letter warning that rates would go up by nearly $10,000 a year.
