OSHA Fines Coatings Manufacturer $132K for Hazardous Material Violations

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing penalties of $132,800 against Quest Specialty Coatings after receiving a complaint that the company had experienced three fires at its Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, plant. OSHA said it cited the company for one willful, two repeat and five serious safety violations at the aerosol paint and coatings manufacturer's plant after a May 1 inspection.
