A Texas appellate court ruled that the attorneys who had represented the widow of a worker who was killed in a plane crash had not entered into an enforceable fee-sharing agreement, and that one of the attorneys could pursue a tortious interference with contract claim against the other.
The court’s Dec. 31 ruling in Dickens v. Webster arose out of Brian Quinn’s death seven years ago.
Quinn had worked as a pilot for Federal Express. He died when his plane crashed in Kansas shortly after takeoff.
