New Hampshire Democrats, having wrested majority control away from Republicans in both houses of the state legislature in the November election, are moving forward with a pair of bills that would increase benefits for workers and make life a little tougher for employers that fail to provide coverage.
Business groups are especially worried about Senate Bill 99, by Kevin Cavanaugh, D-Manchester. The bill would eliminate a 262-week duration limit on temporary partial and permanent partial disability benefits that has been in place since 1994.
