The mileage reimbursement rate for injured workers is now the same as what is paid to state workers for authorized travel, the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission announced.
Arkansas workers since 2008 have been paid 43 cents per mile when they have to travel for medical appointments. As of Friday, the reimbursement rate corresponds to the rate paid to state workers for authorized travel.
With state workers being reimbursed at 52 cents per mile, the mileage reimbursement for injured workers effectively increased by more than 20%.
