A worker who claimed to sustain an at-work knee injury is facing three felony counts of fraud after investigators found him running up stairs a week after his injury.
In October 2013, Vacaville resident Deonte D. Walker, 26, bumped his knee at work and went to see a physician's assistant, who thought Walker was faking his accident.
Walker was put on light-duty work and told to come back to see a doctor a week later, but never went back to the clinic he visited or to work, according to the Fairfield, California, newspaper the Daily Republic.
