An employee of the City of Trenton Water Works who was filmed sleeping at the controls of a running backhoe wants a $19,000 workers’ compensation settlement in relation to a claim filed in 2012.
The Trentonian newspaper reported Wednesday that the Trenton City Council was expected to vote on the matter today. The resolution on which councilors will vote says it is in the city’s “best interest” to settle the claim. A city spokesman declined to comment on the nature of the claim, the paper reported.
