Worker's Fall while Exiting Workplace after Quitting Job Was Compensable

A worker who tripped and fell as he was marching out of his workplace after quitting his job is still entitled to benefits from his employer, according to the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. The appellate court ruled Monday that Paul Marazas was still within the course and scope of his employment with the Vitas Healthcare Corp. when he hurt himself, even though he had just tendered his resignation moments before.
