The Washington state Department of Labor & Industries is again extending its premium assistance program for employers that are struggling to pay their workers’ compensation premiums during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The extension gives businesses participating in the Employer Assistance Program until Nov. 2 to pay work comp premiums for the months of April, May and June. Without the extension, the premiums would be due at the end of July, the department said.
A previous extension moved the deadline for first-quarter premium payments to July 31.
