Two Doctors No Longer Authorized to Treat Injured Workers

The Workers’ Compensation Board has temporarily suspended the authority of one doctor to treat injured workers within the workers’ compensation system, and another doctor has surrendered his authorization.The WCB said May 1 that it had suspended Dr. Loubert Suddaby’s authorization through Oct. 31, 2014.Reports submitted by Suddaby for services rendered before May 1 are valid. Requests to cross-examine Suddaby for services rendered before May 1 should not be denied due to his suspension, the WCB said.
