Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine requested a 7% rate cut for private employers effective July 1, the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced.
The BWC’s board of directors will consider the governor’s request at its Feb. 23 meeting. If approved, the seventh consecutive rate cut would result in employers paying about $67 million less in premiums than they did last year.
