Payment Plan Bill Heading to Governor

A bill that would allow the Wyoming Workers’ Compensation Division to enter payment plans with employers to collect unpaid premiums and penalties is heading to the governor’s desk. The Senate on Friday voted 28-1 to pass House Bill 84, by Rep. Eric Barlow, R-Campbell. The House voted 54-3 to pass the measure on Jan. 27. The measure would allow installment payment plans in cases where payment in a lump sum “would cause severe inconvenience to the employer.” Payments could be spread out over a period of up to 12 months, under terms in the bill.
