Bill Would Require IWIF to Administer State's Claims

The Injured Workers’ Insurance Fund would be required to serve as the third-party administrator for Maryland’s self-insured workers’ compensation program for state employees, under a bill moving through the General Assembly. Maryland lawmakers in 2012 enacted legislation converting IWIF into the private carrier now known as Chesapeake Employers Insurance Co.
