WCD Advisory Committee to Discuss Implementing Legislation

The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced that a rulemaking advisory committee will meet Aug. 25 to discuss how to implement a pair of bills state lawmakers passed this year. Gov. Kate Brown in May enacted House Bill 2039, allowing carriers and self-insured employers to store claim records outside of the state — for example, on a cloud server — so long as the records are available to regulators and case participants at a location in Oregon.
