OAL Approves Predesignation and Reporting Duty Rules

The Office of Administrative Law approved changes to the California Division of Workers' Compensation Predesignation of Personal Physicians and Reporting Duties of the Primary Treating Physician rules, which will take effect July 1.The rules were amended to account for changes to the requirements for predesignating a treating physician made by Senate Bill 863 and to define “chiropractic visit” for the purpose of the reform bill's limitation on chiropractors serving as treating physicians.
