OSHA Identifies 30 Violations at Veterans Facilities

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued 30 notices of unsafe and unhealthy working conditions for violations found during inspections of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities in Northern California.OSHA in November launched investigations into the veterans hospital in Mather and outpatient clinics in Martinez, Fairfield and Oakland.Investigators cited the hospital in Mather for a repeat violation involving improper storage of biological hazardous waste.
