Legislature Sends Presumption Bill to Governor

A COVID-19 presumption bill is now on the governor's desk after the New Jersey Legislature approved a bill penned by Senate President and labor union executive Stephen Sweeney. The bill, S2380, intends to make it easier for most essential workers, including first responders, health care workers and others who have contact with the public to qualify for workers' compensation benefits if sickened by the coronavirus.
