Anti-Fraud Plans Find New Home in Department Rulebook

Tuesday, April 3, 2018 | 0

Insurers and investigators looking for guidance on filing their anti-fraud plans may soon be surprised to find the rules are missing. That's because the Florida Department of Financial Services has done some housekeeping to reorganize rules on the books.

The relevant parts of Rule 69D-2.004 of the Florida Administrative Code, requiring detailed fraud-prevention plans from insurance companies, have been moved to Rule 69D-2.003. Thus, 2.004 has been repealed, the department announced.

The change will have minimal impact on costs to the agency, the department said. A public hearing on the proposed change will be at 10 a.m. April 24 in Room 2100, Alexander Building, 2020 Capital Circle SE, Tallahassee.

More information is available from Simon Blank, director of the Division of Investigative and Forensic Services, at Simon.Blank@myfloridacfo.com.
