A family accused of running a $30 million health care fraud scheme "planted" the ringleader's 29-year-old niece as an intern at the Department of Labor's Dallas office in order to serve as a "mole" for the scheme, Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron L. Wiley said in court filings.
Dallas attorney Tshombe Anderson encouraged his niece, Lydia Taylor, to apply for an internship at the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs in the city in order to "be on the lookout for any problems with their businesses," the indictment says.
