Legislation introduced in Colorado would require the Department of Labor and Employment to collect data and develop model guidance for preventing heat-related injuries and illnesses. HB 1272, introduced Thursday, would require the department to start collecting data on temperature-related injuries, illnesses and emergencies at jobsites throughout the state.  The agency would be tasked with developing a platform on its website for users to report temperature-related incidents.
