The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission announced on Friday that Kimberly Janas is the commission's new operations manager and secretary.Janas served as associate counsel to the Illinois Senate Democrats and was the committee counsel on the special committee on workers' compensation, which led to the passage of HB 1698, the workers' compensation overhaul legislation passed this year.Janas previously was an assistant attorney general in the General Law Bureau and served as a staff attorney at the Legislative Reference Bureau.
