The California Supreme Court on Wednesday denied review of two workers’ compensation cases, including one involving a dispute about whether an injured athlete had dual employers.
That case was Fray v. Arena Football League.
Virgil Gray had played for the San Jose SaberCats, a member of the Arena Football League. He suffered an injury to his knee in April 2015.
Gray filed a workers’ compensation claim against the SaberCats and Arena Football One. AFO admitted that it was Gray’s employer, but the SaberCats insisted that Gray was solely employed by AFO.
