OSHA Cites Railroad for Lack of Lead Monitoring, Protection

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued seven safety violations and proposed penalties of $110,500 against Illinois Central Railroad Co. for failing to monitor and prevent lead exposure.The agency issued the citations after a May 29 inspection of a Chicago work site, where the railroad's workers were demolishing a bridge near South Lock Street and Archer Avenue.
