A Northern California nursing assistant was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $8,382 in restitution after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor workers’ compensation fraud charge.
The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said Holly Merrill-Miller, 22, alleged to have suffered an injury to her wrist while working for Sutter Health in 2015. Surveillance footage reportedly revealed she was exaggerating the extent of her injury, prosecutors said.
