Delaware's captive industry contributes 2,537 jobs and nearly $360 million to the state's gross daily product, according to a report prepared for the State Department of Insurance.
The report, commissioned by the department's Bureau of Captive & Financial Insurance Products, said that the department spends $1,303,848 annually regulating the captive industry. For that investment, the state gains 1.95 jobs, $83,574 in income, and $4,301 in state and local taxes for each $1,000 spent, according to the report.
