Connecticut, one of the most expensive states in the country for workers’ compensation insurance, will get its first fee schedule for medical services provided in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers on April 1.
Stephen Frayne, senior vice president of health policy for the Connecticut Hospital Association, said that providers, employers and insurers were able to agree on fixed reimbursement rates that will bring down medical costs.
