OSHA Cites Chicago-Area Dental Practice for Exposing Workers to Blood-Borne Pathogens

A dental practice near Chicago didn't require employees to wear appropriate gloves and protection, leading to potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration found. OSHA cited two Lakemoor Dental locations — in Lakemoor and Hainesville, each about an hour's drive from Chicago — for 11 serious violations and four other-than-serious violations.
