A Marshall County, W.Va., volunteer fire department (VFD) has been ordered to cease and desist handling service calls because its workers' compensation policy lapsed, according to local news reporters.The order shutting down the Big Wheeling Creek Volunteer Fire Department came from the state Fire Marshal's Office while the West Virginia Legislature is considering a $2.5 million rescue plan from Gov.
