Pending appeals at the New York Workers' Compensation Board are down, to 2,974 cases as of the end of April, which may be one of the lowest inventory of cases on record, the board was told at its May meeting last week.
“To my recollection, that's an all-time low,” board attorney Keith Longden said. “They're turning around 93% of applications within six months of receipt, and this is really an outstanding job by the Adjudication Review Division and the board members.”
