A Louisiana physician was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison following his conviction for billing the federal Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs more than $500,000 over a four-year period for services he never provided.
Dr. Marvin Clifton, 71, was also ordered during a sentencing hearing Thursday to pay a $50,000 fine and serve two years of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana announced.
