The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited two companies for serious safety violations after a worker died following a fire at a natural gas processing plant in the borough of Houston.
Energy Transportation LLC and MW Logistics Services LLC face proposed penalties of $51,148 and $47,360, respectively, in connection with the citations.
OSHA inspected Energy Transportation, the company contracted to clean lines and vessels at the plant, after four of the company’s employees suffered burns and needed hospitalization. One of the employees later died.
