OSHA Fines Two Companies After Fatal Fire

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited two companies for serious safety violations after a worker died following a fire at a natural gas processing plant in the borough of Houston. Energy Transportation LLC and MW Logistics Services LLC face proposed penalties of $51,148 and $47,360, respectively, in connection with the citations. OSHA inspected Energy Transportation, the company contracted to clean lines and vessels at the plant, after four of the company’s employees suffered burns and needed hospitalization.
