The owner of a private security company in Northern California was sentenced to 120 days in county jail and fined $18,000 for making a false statement to obtain lower workers’ compensation premiums, the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.Prosecutors say Anthony Vincent Perez, 36, who owns ESA International, never registered or reported employee wages to the state Employment Development Department.
