A state lawmaker is making a second attempt to require workers' compensation carriers to pay doctors for medical opinions requested after the carrier disputes the extent of a worker's compensable injury.  Rep. Nicole Collier Fort Worth Democrat Rep. Nicole Collier's first version of the bill, HB 2326, passed the House but failed to garner enough momentum in the Senate to reach a vote before the regular session adjourned.
