Bill Requiring Carriers to Pay for Medical Report Gets Another Go

A state lawmaker is making a second attempt to require workers' compensation carriers to pay doctors for medical opinions requested after the carrier disputes the extent of a worker's compensable injury.  Fort Worth Democrat Rep. Nicole Collier's first version of the bill, HB 2326, passed the House but failed to garner enough momentum in the Senate to reach a vote before the regular session adjourned.
