Builders Insurance Paying $1M Dividend

Builders Insurance Group said Tuesday that it is paying $1 million in dividends to qualifying Georgia policyholders, its 20th annual consecutive dividend payment.
The group self-insurer said this year's dividend will bring the total rebated to policyholders to $49.5 million.
To be eligible to receive a dividend, a policyholder must have maintained continuous coverage with Builders Insurance since Dec. 31, 2012 and must have "an acceptable loss ratio," Builders said. Policyholders must also have maintained membership in a sponsoring association and be without any unresolved receivable balances, the company said.
Atlanta-based Builders Insurance provides coverage to 17,500 policyholders in residential and light commercial construction, and some non-construction fields.
