A Ross County corrections officer must pay the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation nearly $6,000 in restitution after investigators said he was working while collecting benefits.
Jason E. Chamberlin, of Kingston, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of workers’ compensation fraud in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.
A judge sentenced Chamberlin to 180 days in jail but suspended the term in exchange for five years of probation. Probation could end sooner than five years if Chamberlin pays back the $5,918 in less time.
