The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation announced this week that the conversion factors for its medical fee guidelines for 2020 have been raised by 1.9%, in keeping with the Medicare Economic Index.
The conversion factors are updated annually and are used to determine reimbursement for non-network services.
For evaluation and management services, general medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, pathology, and anesthesia and surgery in an office setting, the conversion factor will increase from $59.19 to $60.32, starting Jan. 1.
