Whether creating a list of “presumed” occupational diseases would lead to more equitable workers' compensation coverage is a question that will be discussed next week during a conference in Anchorage, Alaska.
The roundtable discussion, entitled “Presumptive Coverage Laws: Overcoming the Neglect of Occupational Diseases in Workers Compensation,” will take place Tuesday morning during the annual conference of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. The conference runs from June 19 to 23.
