The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced the indictment of a certified public accountant for allegedly filing doctored payroll-related documents on behalf of facade restoration and scaffolding companies in a scheme that cost the New York State Insurance Fund more than $10 million.
The District Attorney’s Office said Steven Lyon is charged with eight counts of insurance fraud, eight counts of falsifying business records and nine counts of forgery.
