Rates to Drop 3.8% Jan. 1

The Connecticut insurance commissioner approved a 3.8% average workers' compensation rate reduction for 2026. The National Council on Compensation Insurance said in its rate recommendation that the primary driver of the proposed change was improved experience.  The voluntary loss cost reductions are an average among five industry groups and will be larger for some employers than others.
